Established in 1999, Fountain Schools, Kericho is a private, primary and kindergarten school situated in pleasant surroundings in the heart of Kericho County. Christian values are a core pillar of our school since it is our believe that excellence comes from the Almighty God who perfects our being. To date, Fountain Schools has witnessed gradual but steady growth in both infrastructure and enrollment.

FOUNTAIN SCHOOLS | Humble History
Christian-based Kindergarten follows the powerful inspiration of its founder; mother Annah Koech, who has great value for education in life. Following her insatiable desire to learn which was thwarted by the then societal attitude against girl child education, mother Annah Koech couldn’t learn to the level of her wish. She thus opted to establish Fountain Schools to facilitate children’s education as an indirect way of achieving her lifetime desire to learn since she believes that the education of a child is education for all society.
This great inspirational drive culminated in the establishment of this school on 11th January 1999 which saw the school opening with a meager number of seven pupils as its first admissions the whole of that year. This number would grow gradually through many challenges in the subsequent years but this didn’t kill the initial desire to develop the school.
In 1999 the school started with three children and three teachers and by the end of the first year it had enrolled seven pupils. Today Fountain has a total enrollment of 532 pupils and 23 teachers. As illustrated below;
Student History
The total pupil population is 532 with 260 girls and 272 boys. The year 2004 is a year to reckon in the school’s history. This was a time when the school for the first time established class one to absorb pupils who had completed pre-primary education after a period of five years. This would see the school growing at a rate of a class every year to date where we managed to have the school’s pioneer candidate group ready to sit for K.C.P.E in the year 2011. Still being focused on the original inspiration of its founder, we aim at developing the school into a large educational center to prove its real name “FOUNTAIN SCHOOLS’. To achieve this we aim to offer an excellent learning environment that will give every child equal opportunities to unleash their potential to the fullest through curriculum and co-curricular activities that create a child-friendly. It is our greatest desire to cooperate with the entire school community toward the achievement of our much-desired goals
