It has been over a decade of hard work and dedication towards educating and nurturing young learners. Following a strong inspiration, Mother Annah Koech founded Fountain Schools, a Christian Kindergarten school whose foundation stood on Love, Faith and Hope.
The Legacy of Mother Annah Koech
Mother Annah was inspired to open up a path to allow young learners to thrive and excel in a conducive environment outside of Kericho town following a desire to see others benefit from something she herself had not experienced.
She grew up in a society where the girl child was not considered fit to pursue education because of cultural interpretation of roles of girls and women at large. This did not sit well with Mother Annah and she beat the odds and on 11th January 1999, Fountain Schools Kericho was incepted.

Her desire to see others succeed was a true definition of servant-ship. With a meager number of 7 admissions in that year, the school administration did not lay down their tools yet, the numbers grew each year as the institution battled many challenges and storms, this did not however kill the initial desire to establish the learning institution.
The Infrastructure
The school began in a three rental mabati rooms, this is where the pre-school stands. In 2020 Fountain Schools Pre-School stands on 7 Classrooms, a dining room and 2 sleeping rooms.
The Primary section is a two storey building consisting of 12 classes, conference hall, board room and water storage facilities. These achievements are attributed to the hard work and zeal of the school administration under the leadership of Mother Annah Koech.
Enrollment
In the year 1999, the school started with 3 students and 3 teachers and by the close of the year, a total of 7 students had been enrolled.
The year 2004 saw the school achieve a huge milestone as it established a class One classroom to accommodate graduates of pre-primary education after a period of 5 years.
In the year 2011, the school sat for its first KCPE Examinations opening doors for more students to enroll and excel in their education. To date, the school has not lost its dire goal to offer excellent learning environment that will give every child equal opportunity to unleash their potential through curriculum and co-curricular activities.
